BSc(Hons), MSc (Chiro), DC
I graduated as a Chiropractor from The Anglo European College of Chiropractic, Bournemouth with a Masters in Chiropractic and I have worked locally ever since. I am looking forward to sharing my skills and experience with the people of Portsmouth and Southsea.
During my 10 years in practice I have enjoyed extending my knowledge and experience by attending many facinating Post Graduate courses. These have included:
- Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT)
- Cranio-sacral Therapy and
- Chirokinetic Therapy.
I am a family man and my partner and I are kept busy and entertained by our three children. My hobbies include classic cars, golf, skiing and sailing and karate.
You are welcome to come in just for a chat or to discuss your ongoing Chiropractic needs. I look forward to meeting you.
I graduated from The
Anglo-European College of Chiropractic with a Masters in Chiropractic. I hold a holistic view of healthcare and believe in
helping patients achieve better health, through a combination of hands on
treatment, nutritional advice, corrective exercise and postural
My interests lie in work-related strains as well as taking a
particular focus in pre and postnatal care, helping to relieve and
prevent many pregnancy problems, enabling mothers-to-be to be pain free,
relaxed and energetic throughout their pregnancy, as well as helping new
mothers return to full physical function after delivery.
In my spare time I practice yoga and enjoy running; I have
represented Great Britain
in the European Clubs Championships in the 1,500m event. I have a keen interest in sports injuries and
rehabilitation as it was an injury, sustained during my athletics career, which
led me to seek chiropractic care and then pursue a career in chiropractic.
I love this unique, vitalistic profession and am very passionate
about the health benefits that can be gained through a wellness lifestyle. I
look forward to seeing and helping you achieve better health, improve
performance in sports or work, prevent and manage injuries and get more out of
Statutory Regulation of Chiropractors
The General Chiropractic Council (GCC) is a UK-wide statutory body with regulatory powers, established by the Chiropractors Act 1994. It has four main duties:
- To protect the public by establishing and operating a scheme of statutory regulation for chiropractors, similar to the arrangements that cover other health professionals
- To set the standards of chiropractic education, practice and conduct
- To ensure the development of the profession of chiropractic, using a model of continuous improvement in practice
- To promote the profession of chiropractic so that its contribution to the health of the nation is understood and recognised
Since June 2001 the title of 'chiropractor' has been protected by law and it is a criminal offence, liable to prosecution, to describe oneself as any sort of chiropractor without being registered with the GCC.
